This weeks Unity Tutorials were a gentle reminder that Unity is not easy 🙃. These particular tutorials were quite tricky. I think it is because it was a bit of a different game set up for this prototype. Even at the beginning of the Unit 4 tutorials in the overview video the man in the video said some people say Unit 4 is the toughest unit. .... I agree! On the bright side some of the coding and just general knowledge of the Unity interface I found myself catching on to. I was pleasantly surprised by this which was a push to keep going.

    Great blog Philippa! You're one hundred percent right in saying that Unity is not easy, it certainly makes you appreciate the people who use it for a living and justifies how games like GTA and Call of Duty have dozens of different employees working on the same game at the same time! Your finished project looks really well, you obviously have a talent for programming.

Game Brainstorm

  GAME BRAINSTORM link My first game idea is inspired by the game of life. Personally I wouldn't be interested in playing shooting games, or building games(e.g. Minecraft). So I thought because of this I shouldn't really consider trying to make one if these types of games. Something more suited to me would be a happy game ☺️. I thought of the game of life because I really enjoy the board game version. I particularly enjoy the fact that every time you play you end up with a different story/life. I also enjoy the fact that you can't choose the story like in The Sims for example. The game of life involves spinning the wheel and moving to that square, whatever square you land on is the life milestone you get. You do however have a few options at the start.  L ike you can choose to go to college, or work.
