  Reading 4 - week 16(4) Analysis For reading task 4, I took my research to the next stage. I am starting to delve into what information I want in my chapter.  I began with going back to my ‘search strategy’ spiderweb, looking at keywords and articles I had noted. I have read and learned about the online game streaming platform ‘Twitch’, as I feel like since being the first streaming platform it will be very relevant for my research.  A part of my search strategy I wrote out synonyms for the key words in my topic title. As I am researching all about the benefits of game streaming, I didn’t forget about  another benefit of game streaming …. Profit! In the article I read about Twitch, there was sufficive information about the start-up and success of Twitch. Hello!  My name is Philippa, I'm pretty sure my name is Greek and it means 'lover of horses'... interesting choice from my parents since I have no connection to Greece and I don't particularly "love" horses.  This summer I spent my 20th birthday in Berlin. I went to Berlin for a month and I had the best time of my life. For the weekend of my birthday all of my best friends visited for a few days. It was definitely a life changing trip and I'm already looking at apartments for next summer!!  Its such a beautiful and inspiring city full of art, culture and you can be whoever you want.  When I chose this course, I had no idea what I wanted to do for a career. I was pretty much an open book when joining in first year. Reading 3 - Doing

  Reading 3 week 15(3) Doing For reading two, I decided to look at potential negative effects of game streaming before I solely focus on researching the benefits of game streaming. Through researching the potential damages of game streaming( as it is a relatively new form of online connection) I hope to be able to compare and contrast the negatives and positives of game streaming thoroughly. I read an article on sciencedirect.com about ‘ exploring the connection between playing video games and watching video game streaming: Relationships with potential problematic uses .’  Here I was able to read about potential damaging effects of game streaming and habits between streamers and viewers. It was quite intriguing to read and has given me a basic knowledge of my topic ‘game streaming’, before I start to plan my chapter.  link
